HELLO IRELAND, HELLO WICKLOW, HELLO HOME

Home From Abroad

It’s been two years since I last saw a summer in Ireland and now that I’m back, I couldn’t feel happier to be home.

As much as I love Paris, I’m pretty happy that I haven’t spent much of August in it. There’s nothing quite like escaping to the countryside, especially when that countryside is the place where you grew up.

One of the places on the top of my list to revisit when I was back in Ireland was Glendalough which is an enchanting lake and ruined monastery located not too far away from Dublin. I made a video there last Autumn that you can check out here but otherwise the photos I took this time are pretty spectacular too!

Home For The Holidays (Wearing Hades Wool)

A Touch of Cashmere + How It Feels To Be Home

Here I am, back in my seaside town in Ireland for the holidays. I’ve taken a long pause from social media over the month of December and especially over the Christmas break where my time was largely spent catching up with friends and family. It’s crazy how quickly time has flown by. It really feels like just yesterday I was still in Paris, shooting outfits and filming my vlog about going home. Since making that video and landing home, it really feels like the time I spent in Ireland, opening presents with my family under the tree and sitting all around the kitchen table, eating countless turkey and ham dinners  and drinking bubbly  has gone by in the blink of an eye.

Back in Ireland

Travelling Home

Eire

I just uploaded the vlog of my trip home to Ireland and it honestly feels so strange to be back in Paris. I’ve spent the past week trying to settle back into life in France but I had such an amazing stay in Ireland that I couldn’t help but feel especially homesick even before I got back on the plane again.

Everything about going home just felt so surreal, being in my own bed, seeing my old bedroom in my parents house and all of the things that I left behind, not to mention the hometown that used to be apart of my everyday life. It’s crazy to think that now that I live in Paris, none of that is in my routine anymore. Going home to Ireland felt so nostalgic and so bittersweet and the time went by so quickly it almost feels like I dreamt it.

Recently I got the chance to film a lookbook for you guys as part of the launch of my YouTube channel. (UPDATE: The channel is ready and the video is live now!)

Seeing as how I already posted these outfits to instagram, (I just could not contain my excitement!) I thought I’d give you a more detailed sneak-peak here on our blog!

These outfits feature some of my favourite SS17 trend staples. They are playful, colourful , cute and best of all, they make a statement.

The most amazing thing about shooting this lookbook was the fact that I got to visit some really beautiful landscapes and experiment with some really picturesque locations. One of these locations was the Powerscourt House and Gardens in County Wicklow. If you’re ever visiting Ireland, or if you do live here and have never been before, I definitely recommend you go there. It’s just like being in a fairytale.
