Wearing Marzia’s Dress Part II

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another Parisian fashion post here on LaDameWhoFellToEarth.
Earlier in the month as I was scrolling through her website I noticed that the clothing line of one of my favourite YouTubers and fashion bloggers, Marzia, had gone on sale. Having always been quite inspired by her style and having previously coveted many of her unique creations from previous lines, I thought I would take the opportunity to nab something from the Amore line before it all sold out.
I’ve always been quite impressed by Marzia’s designs and if you’ve been on my blog for a while you guys probably know by now that one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe is the lace dress that she designed for her limone line. If you haven’t seen the post already and you are curious to see how that dress looks you can check the shoot out
here.
As Marzia will soon be releasing yet another selection of her creations into the world I thought I would share with you a little review on this dress from her Amore line as well as the way I’ve been styling it lately.
The first thing I have to address of course when it comes to her designs is the price. Although her creations are all extremely beautiful and unique, they are rather expensive. I personally have been lucky enough to always get my size during the sales but at full price, I wouldn’t exactly call her clothing affordable, especially not on a student budget. However her clothing is ethically made which is important to take into account and the designs are like nothing you would find on the high street. Each time I unbox a new item from her collection I know from the very first touch of the fabric that these clothes are going to occupy a spot in my wardrobe for a very long time.

Where the Amore dress is concerned the first thing that struck me was how soft the material is. Lately the weather has been quite cool in Paris (don’t ask me where the summer went) so it’s the perfect dress to wear as you snuggle up with a hot coffee on a cosy café terrace. The material is soft without it being too thick so it’s a lovely breathable piece that is wearable during all seasons. The back of the dress has a very pretty, oversized gold zip which makes it a very detailed piece that is easy to slip on and off. The embroidery on the front is also elegant and understated but adds a unique allure to the outfit. The fact that it said « amore » really won my heart over when it came to choosing this dress. Being the Italian word for love, I feel like it captures a really charming aesthetic.
While this pinafore stands out quite a lot on it’s own thanks to its rich teal colour, today I wanted to add a little bit of extra intrigue by playing around with some contrast which is why I opted for a striped long sleeve paired with these spotty tights. Bringing together two opposing elements like spots and stripes can be hard to pull off but something subtle will always add something that little bit more unique to your look which is what I really love about this outfit.
A final note about Marzia’s clothing lines is that the sizing is quite generous. This is something I’ve noticed across each of her collections. If you love a more oversized look then it’s perfect, however if you are in any way a petite girl or you are more used to European sizing over UK and US sizing then I would probably recommend sizing down.
You can see in the photos that this is the XS on me but it’s still quite baggy.
And that’s it for this post. What do you guys think of the outfit? Are you excited for the release of Marzia’s new clothing line? Let me know in the comments below!
Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon,
