Out of the Dark…

Deep cleansing, softening and nourishing, these three words pretty much sum up what the Lush Dark Angels cleanser has to offer. Powdered charcoal helps to remove dirt and toxins clogged deep beneath the skin’s surface, gently exfoliate (with the help of some black sugar) while simultaneously removing excess oils and sebum.

The idea of this cleanser was just so exciting to me -creating brighter, younger, livelier skin from something dark. Obviously then when I spotted this at lush, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Nevertheless, charcoal is known to be a well proven effective ingredient when it comes to drawing out bacteria, poisons, chemicals and other damaging micro-particles from the skin. Fundamentally its a magnet that removes all of the really deep-set crap from your pores. And the best part is that while the charcoal cleanses from the inside out, nourishing avocado oil in the mask helps to restore life, radiance and softness to dull skin.
