Basically the Same Pair of Jeans 3 Different Ways
When I was shooting the outfits for this blogpost I unintentionally managed to wear the exact same pair of jeans in all three of my outfits…but can you really blame me? Light wash jeans are just so versatile for summer so for today’s post I’m going to show you three different looks I’ve been loving for this late summer weather.
Something Magical Appeared in the City
The 13th Arrondissement of Paris is an area that largely stands as uncharted territory on the tourist map. Although this neighbourhood even despite of all of its charming streets and quirky urban art works and murals has avoided the tourist invasion, this quartier is experiencing an invasion of its own but on a much more cute and cuddly level.
A Hot Flash of Outfits For Summer Weather
With red hot temperatures on the rise this summer we all need the perfect sweat-proof outfit that’s going to be perfect for chilling out and cooling down.
Being an autumn baby who lived almost my whole life in Ireland, coming up with summer outfits that are both comfortable and cool can be an impossible task at times, especially because I’m not used to having to go about my everyday life while sweltering under the extreme heat. It’s only really now after two years living in France that I’m getting used to dressing comfortably under the blazing hot sun so for today’s post I came up with three summer outfits that are perfect for staying stylish no matter how high the thermometer may be.
A Little Update After My Last Post
Not the best quality photo I know but I figured that I would come on here and let you guys know how I’m doing after my last blogpost where I was feeling mentally exhausted and just drained from my bad experiences in Paris.
I’ll Probably Delete This Later
Its 3am and I just had to come on here and write this. Honestly I don’t know where to begin. Things have been hard lately.
I feel like everybody knows me as the walking cliché foreign girl in Paris who comes to the city after uprooting her whole life abroad to fall in love with cheese and baguettes and everything else associated with the most grotesque french stereotypes you can imagine. On instagram and often over here on our blog I’m posting constantly about how much I love Paris and on a very superficial level, my love for the city is real. I love the city as a city. No matter where you go here you’re always surrounded by beautiful things, chic restaurants, boutiques and cafés and every street is brimming with so much history that it would be impossible to know every single detail about it. But the truth about Paris is that trying to make it here as a foreigner is often misery.
How I’m Saving My Damaged Hair
I don’t know about you but my hair has certainly been through a lot over the past year. Between bleaching it twice, toning, straightening, and blow drying on a regular basis I’m not stranger to split ends, breakage and dullness.
Ever since I bleached, balayaged and highlighted my hair one year ago, the thickness and softness has never been the same. I honestly am convinced that colourists are lying when they tell you that the work they do doesn’t damage your hair because mine has been drying gout and shedding like crazy ever since I highlighted it. It’s terrible now how empty I feel whenever I run my fingers through my hair sleek and shiny hair because the thickness is just not there anymore and each time I so much as touch my hair I end up yanking out massive clumps of it.
You shouldn’t get me wrong however, shedding is completely normal especially in the warmer months but dryness and extreme breakage on the other hand is a sign of chemical/heat damage. That is exactly why I’ve really stepped up my haircare routine lately with the goal of restoring my dead ends back to the long, luscious locks that they once were.
For this post I’m sharing my haircare regime with you guys in the hopes that it will help you too if you’re experiencing haircare woes in the same way that I am.
Class of PrettyLittleThing
Summer is here which means that the time for champagne and celebrations during warm nights has arrived. For today’s post I teamed up with PrettyLittleThing to show you some amazing occasion wear that is perfect for weddings, classy soirées and also graduations. Their graduation store has so many beautiful dresses to choose from and I couldn’t be more thrilled to show you guys a few of my favourites.
Graduation is unfortunately not celebrated in France and it’s something that now, living away from Ireland I’m pretty sad to be missing out on. The way it works here is that you get your degree in the mail and that’s that. There’s no big celebration where we wear the robe, the hats and do the photographs while holding the degree but that doesn’t mean that we should skip out on the chance to dress up every now and again!
The Perfect Place To Snoop in Paris
Notre-Dame and the square surrounding it may be inaccessible after the fire that happened in April but that doesn’t mean that you should skip out on visiting the quartier of Saint Michel next time you find yourself in Paris.
A New Beginning
It’s been about a month now since I launched my beauty business over on Instagram and I’ve honestly been so busy with it that I haven’t even had the chance to make a blogpost about it!
As a fashion and beauty blogger I moved to Paris two years ago to follow my dream of turning my blog into an actual business that would be profitable for me. Although I haven’t fully made it yet as a full time blogger, getting partnered with a multi-million dollar beauty company means that I’m one step closer to converting MY BLOH into a fully fledged business.
When I got partnered with NuSkin I accomplished a huge goal of mine because it meant that I could finally break into the beauty industry with a huge multi-national company specialising in makeup, beauty and skincare having my back.
So what does this actually mean for our blog now? Here is where it actually gets pretty exciting!
Now that I have my own beauty range of liquid lipsticks you can now buy them from me over on my Instagram by dropping me a DM. These products have won so many awards in the past for their premium quality and NuSkin have also been featured in Forbes as being one of the Top 5 most trustworthy businesses in the world so you know you’re getting bag for your buck.
My Travel Guide For a Short Stay in The Netherlands
What is it exactly about the Netherlands that is so alluring? I can’t exactly explain why but something about this magical place and especially Amsterdam just keeps me coming back. If blazing it in the coffee shops isn’t exactly your thing, there’s so much more to this place than the legal cannabis and the red light district. Think riding through the countryside on a vintage bike and eating stroopwafels by Amsterdam’s most picturesque canals and you’ve got the perfect image of what my most recent stay was like in Holland. Every corner of every street looks like the image of a biscuit box or a vintage postcard.
This week I abandoned my baguettes, omelette au fromage and berets (ok,ok, I may have kept the beret) but I did replace my Parisian lifestyle for a Dutch adventure.
Between Amsterdam and the countryside where we rented an AirBnb there was so much to discover and so many amazing things to see. For today’s post I’m sharing my photo diary and giving you the complete guide to the perfect stay in the Netherlands.
