How I’m Caring For My Skin
2019 is really the year of my life where I try to improve my skincare regime. I’ve said it many times here on LaDameWhoFellToEarth but beauty in France really is epidermal. Nobody really bats an eye too much at your makeup because we all know that it’s what underneath that matters. I’ve always been a huge advocate of fashion and my wardrobe contains a plethora of fabrics from corduroy to cashmere but of all the precious fabrics that I love, my skin is the one that I’m going to wear for the rest of my days so it’s why I’m so enthusiastic to take the best care of it that I can. Now that I’m 22 and I’m getting older, I realise more and more the importance of taking care of it.
Lately, I’ve really been loving the brand Fresh, especially for my super sensitive skin. If you’re looking for something gentle for acne prone skin or you are quite prone to dryness then I would highly recommend giving them a go. The cleanser has helped so much with my problem skin all throughout the month and I can’t express how much I’ve been loving it! In this post I’m going to be reviewing both the Fresh Soy Cleanser and Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream. Both of these products have become an essential part of my beauty regime since the year began and I honestly love the difference in the softness of my skin that they have made. I just had to share them for that!
My Current Must-Haves
Hey everyone! I’m finally back in Paris after my trip to Portugal and back to the grind again. Now that summer is drawing to a close I can’t help but wish these long days of freedom could just last forever. I’ve been having a hard time accepting that the back to school season has already started up for so many of you and next week it will finally be my turn to take up my studies again too. That being said though, I’ve been having a lot of fun doing some last minute back to school shopping, especially where beauty is concerned. Today I thought I’d share my top beauty picks from Sephora with you guys. While most of them fall into the category of Korean skincare (surprise, surprise) I did throw a few makeup favourites in there too! Let’s start.
For Younger, Plumper, Healthier Skin
As the largest organ in the body and the window to all that is happening to our health on the inside, it’s no wonder why beauty has always been so strongly linked to healthy skin.
When I first entered the world of Korean beauty, it was really a breath of fresh air for my skin. These beauty brands really spoil us for choice and there’s so many high tech treatments and masks available that you just don’t see in the Western World.
While it did take me some time to get used to Korean beauty products and the way each product should be used in your regime, I feel like I have finally unlocked the perfect skincare routine to counter the effects of my busy life here in Paris. Here are some of my favourite products that I’ve used to date.
Spooky Bath Bombs!
I’ve always seen the cosy autumn season as the perfect time of year for relaxing in a hot bath. And up until only recently, I never realised that each year a special October collection of bath bombs and body lotions is launched by LUSH, with many of them revolving around the theme of Halloween. As soon as I heard about this, I just had to race to Grafton Street and fill up a bag full of bath bombs to test out for you. Maybe it’s my inner Disney villain talking, but there is just something about the idea of spooky-themed beauty products that really appeals to me.
The most amazing haul ever!
With the cuddle-worthy autumn weather just around the corner and the long summer days already starting to draw to a slow close, the arrival of this year’s autumn/winter trends have already got us all full of excitement for the new season.
Today I am coming to you with my biggest haul yet and I thought that this would be a great opportunity to share some of my favourite things currently on Asos with you. (Brace yourself. There will be a lot of shoes!)
So without further ado, let’s get started!
Featuring Urban Decay, Benefit, Too Faced and Soap and Glory.
Hello everybody! I am Mew and welcome to the first ever makeup haul on this blog.(✿◠‿◠) Recently I had the chance to acquire a multitude of makeup palettes that were each bursting with blushing summery tones and bright, lively colours. Between rose gold eyeshadow kits and vibrant selections of shimmering highlights as well as sets of glittering pink blushes, I just had to take this opportunity to share these things with you.
Some of the best things on Netflix this month
Because it is now summer and everybody has a lot more free time, it can sometimes be hard to know how to spend it. Me, I have chosen to spend this free time with my netflix account and as a result I have turned into a coach potato who has been doing nothing but binge-watching TV shows and movies all week long. ^_^ Today, however I decided to do something productive and share some of my favourite things with you. And hopefully that will give you an idea of what will be exciting to watch. Hopefully this blogpost will save you time on mindlessly scrolling through Netflix titles, unsure of what to watch and will help you find something you love.
“Ancient Egyptian folklore recalls a miraculous skin cream, a secret of the great sages, mystics, magicians and healers, used to maintain radiant, healthy, smooth and glowing skin.”
It’s not the first time on our blog that I’m talking about the miracles that Egyptian Magic works on the skin. It goes without saying that anything given to us by Mother Nature herself is the healthiest, purest and most environmentally friendly way of beautifying ourselves. Today I’m going to be talking to you all about the wonders of Egyptian Magic and how over the past few months it has improved the evenness and healthy glow of my complexion.
