Caring for my Highlighted Hair

mandycherie

Already the lockdown is taking its toll on our hair. All over tiktok there have been numerous trends of people giving themselves DIY haircuts and dye jobs. Sometimes at home salon treatments turn out beautifully, other times they can be a bit of a disaster but one thing that is always going to be completely fool proof is the moisturising treatments that help us to maintain our hair’s natural shine.

Soap & Glory Haul

A Package Arrived From Soap and Glory….

IMG_9216

Whenever I’m in Ireland for the holidays one of the first things I always make a point of doing is pampering myself. The beginning of the new year is always a time where I want to relax and decompress as much as possible to prepare for what lies ahead and so I love spending long lengths of time in the bathroom lathering as many lotions and potions as humanely possible onto my skin. Just being able to go to bed smelling good and spending warm and cosy evenings curled up on the couch after a hot shower is one of my favourite things to do. Soap & Glory are an amazing brand for helping me achieve this zen because their products are just so softening and they smell amazing… oh and did I mention that adorable packaging?

Let’s see what’s inside the hamper!

Basically a Boots Haul

hiiiiy.png

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing well and that you’re having a lovely September so far.

When I was back in Ireland during the holidays last month it was pretty much a rite of passage for me to go to Boots and to see what they had. Since it doesn’t exist in France and we don’t always find the same products here, I always have so much fun browsing the rails for makeup and beauty bargains so today I’m super exited to share what I got with you!

Let’s begin!

Back To School Beauty

Beauty Kits to Start the Year

back to school beauty2.png

Going back to school and uni is always rough, especially when the time comes where we have to admit to ourselves that the summer is actually over and early mornings are about to become a daily thing again. As a person who hates the feeling of rotting away in classes I don’t care about, the end of the summer tends to bring about a lot of stress and existential dread for me. (Can any fellow arts students relate?)

On the other hand though, there is something nice about this time of year. The late summer always makes me feel pretty nostalgic for when I was still actually in school and then there’s the fact that the silver lining of the back to school season is that it’s a great excuse to treat yourself to some new things.

We all deserve to start the year out feeling  refreshed and renewed after the summer break. You don’t need to buy a whole new wardrobe. Sometimes something as simple as changing up your makeup can be invigorating enough to take on the new year.

For today’s post I put together some makeup recommendations for those September mornings where you’re rushing out the door in a panic but still want to slay your makeup.

Emergency Haircare Routine ft Yves Rocher

How I’m Saving My Damaged Hair

2IMG_1193.png

I don’t know about you but my hair has certainly been through a lot over the past year. Between bleaching it twice, toning, straightening, and blow drying on a regular basis I’m not stranger to split ends, breakage and dullness.

Ever since I bleached, balayaged and highlighted my hair one year ago, the thickness and softness has never been the same. I honestly am convinced that colourists are lying when they tell you that the work they do doesn’t damage your hair because mine has been drying gout and shedding like crazy ever since I highlighted it. It’s terrible now how empty I feel whenever I run my fingers through my hair sleek and shiny hair because the thickness is just not there anymore and each time I so much as touch my hair I end up yanking out massive clumps of it.
You shouldn’t get me wrong however, shedding is completely normal especially in the warmer months but dryness and extreme breakage on the other hand is a sign of chemical/heat damage. That is exactly why I’ve really stepped up my haircare routine lately with the goal of restoring my dead ends back to the long, luscious locks that they once were.
For this post I’m sharing my haircare regime with you guys in the hopes that it will help you too if you’re experiencing haircare woes in the same way that I am.
Let’s begin!

MY INSTAGRAM BEAUTY BUSINESS +LIQUID LIPSTICK

A New Beginning

op.png

It’s been about a month now since I launched my beauty business over on Instagram and I’ve honestly been so busy with it that I haven’t even had the chance to make a blogpost about it!

As a fashion and beauty blogger I moved to Paris two years ago to follow my dream of turning my blog into an actual business that would be profitable for me. Although I haven’t fully made it yet as a full time blogger, getting partnered with a multi-million dollar beauty company means that I’m one step closer to converting MY BLOG into a fully fledged business.

When I got partnered with NuSkin I accomplished a huge goal of mine because it meant that I could finally break into the beauty industry with a huge multi-national company specialising in makeup, beauty and skincare having my back.

So what does this actually mean for our blog now? Here is where it actually gets pretty exciting!

Now that I have my own beauty range of liquid lipsticks you can now buy them from me over on my Instagram by dropping me a DM. These products have won so many awards in the past for their premium quality and NuSkin have also been featured in Forbes as being one of the Top 5 most trustworthy businesses in the world so you know you’re getting bang for your buck.
