Basically the Same Pair of Jeans 3 Different Ways
When I was shooting the outfits for this blogpost I unintentionally managed to wear the exact same pair of jeans in all three of my outfits…but can you really blame me? Light wash jeans are just so versatile for summer so for today’s post I’m going to show you three different looks I’ve been loving for this late summer weather.
Look One: The Open Dress
Is it a fashion taboo? Yes.
Am I making it work? I sure hope so.
This pink button-up dress is an old staple of mine from TopShop and it’s perhaps the only thing in my wardrobe that makes me feel like an actual Final Fantasy character.
(Thank you Aerith for the outfit inspo.)
Worn alone this baby pink dress exposes all beneath is so I’ve grown accustomed to pairing it with a cute pair of fitted jeans so that innocent Parisian bystanders don’t have to bear witness to either my granny panties nor my knicker-line.
It may be a little weird but with the buttons left open, the dress and jeans combo adds a lot of layers and texture to your look that ultimately results in something bold, daring and fashionable.
My dress is sold out but here are two similar from TopShop that could also slay this look.
Look Two: Casual Elegance
There was no way I could put together a jeans lookbook without throwing in a more dressy outfit. The silk top I’m wearing in the second photo is from my lingerie drawer and paired with the jeans it makes for the perfect “jeans and a nice top” combo.
This long open blouse was a steal from Zara last autumn and I love the extra shape dimensions it adds to my silhouette. Also would any elegant outfit be complete without a fancy handbag to complete the look? I think not. This one is from the Coach x Selena Gomez collection and is a personal favourite of mine. (Even though I couldn’t care less about Selena Gomez… I kinda just bought it because it was red and gold lol.)
Look Three: The Graphic T-Shirt
The final look is the one I’ve been living in all summer and it’s this super laid back knotted t-shirt look. As much as I may love wearing dresses and dressing up in more elaborate outfits on my Instagram and on our blog, I’m usually at my most comfortable when I’m just wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
This t-shirt is from a brand called Life Club and I can’t recommend them enough if you guys are into ethical fashion or saving animals. They’re an independent brand based in the UK and all of their items are made in the UK. When you make a purchase from them as well some of the proceeds go to an animal shelter. They also have the most amazing T-shirts, enamel pins and patches so I can’t stress enough how cool this brand is and how much you need to check them out! I’m hoping to make a whole post on them soon.
The final component of this super casual outfit is of course my Old Skool Vans. For strolling around Paris these shoes are ideal because they are so comfy and they go with everything.
So that’s it for this little outfit post. Which one of the three is your favourite? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
That’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in our next post!
