My Life in Paris Update

How I Am, What I’m Doing

I’m always instagramming and my blogging about my favourite beauty products, places to visit and what to do in Paris at the moment but it’s actually quite rare that I come on here and have an intimate chat with you guys about the various things going on in my life right now. Today I thought I would share with you guys the different things going on in my busy schedule at the moment but be prepared, it’s all pretty hectic!

Beauty Business

As you may have heard if you’ve seen my recent blogpost or if you follow me on Instagram, I have a beauty business now! I’ve already made a full post about it here explaining the products if you want to take a look but honestly I’ve been so busy with it lately it’s insane!

I have to say that it does feel really good to have a real business element of my blog and instagram going for me. Ever since I first started my blog I’ve dreamt of it becoming something profitable for me. I remember saying to myself that if I could even buy one cup of coffee from the work I put into my photos, videos and writing I’d be so proud of what I have achieved and here I am investing in my very own business!

So many of you already have purchased the products and told me you love them and it makes me feel so glad to know that people put on the liquid lipsticks they bought from me and feel beautiful when they step out the door in the morning. I can’t express enough how special it is to know that.

Dealing with orders and shipments on the other hand as well as doing my best to ensure quality control of every order is keeping me super busy but hearing your feedback and that you’re beyond happy with the products is just so rewarding and makes the hard work worth it.

Because I haven’t yet properly set up an actual online store with a website for my business (but trust me that too is a work in progress) I’m taking orders through my DMs on Instagram here.

Running this business is a lot of work I’m not going to lie. My phone is ringing all day with people asking me about the products, messages from the beauty company itself as well as having to post about it on social media in order to spread the word about to as many people as possible but I have to say that it’s a lot of fun and I really am having a blast in the process! Getting to try out new beauty products and being able to distribute them thanks to both having my blog and being so enthusiastic about this passion of mine is literally like a dream come true and it’s only the beginning.

Now it’s on for my second big project which is of course my YouTube channel. I’ve stopped and started, deleted old videos, made new ones, cleared out my old channel, restarted a new one then started and stopped a thousand times again and again and I’m still trying to find my rhythm when it comes to making videos. So far it hasn’t been easy because I live in a tiny apartment where choices for a nice setup are pretty limited and I know that the types of videos that I’m drawn to the most are the ones with aesthetic backgrounds and plenty of harmony between the lighting and decoration. I really want my videos to be appealing to the eye and each time I create a video that doesn’t correspond to that desire I feel really dissatisfied and end up scrapping it. I really want my channel to seem professional because otherwise I feel like nobody is going to watch my videos. Maybe I’m just being too much of a perfectionist and I shouldn’t worry? I’m not even sure.

Anyway, I’ve been trying to upload frequently and to find my confidence on camera. I’m still always super embarrassed to admit to people that I have a YouTube channel and it really feels like I’m never going to get anywhere with it. That being said though it still is a lot of fun to see myself improve over time and to talk to you guys in the comments.

Knowing that there are people out there who enjoy my videos is really rewarding and I’m grateful for those of you that have already subscribed. For now though I know I need to work harder and I feel more and more driven with every video to do so. There’s just a few things I need to get past that are discouraging me like being shy in front of the camera and the worry I have about creating a nicer setup.

The final thing I’ve been doing a lot of lately is of course my blog and I guess that this is pretty self explanatory but I still thought I’d explain my projects and ambitions with our website.

I’m not going to lie when I say that working on my blog is definitely my favourite pastime of all three of the things I’ve been doing right now. Just going out in Paris with my camera and getting to take photos of the buildings and monuments and of the outfits I put together is something that I’ll always be incredibly motivated to do no matter how I may be feeling.

Since moving this beautiful city I’ve met so many friends who are interested in photography, who have studied image, editorials and portraits in art school and who even have cameras of their own. It feels really great knowing that there is always someone to help with pictures and I love living in such an artsy city where so many people support what I do.

I know that a lot of my posts on here lately have been to do with beauty, travel and Paris but trust me when I say that I have so many ideas for fashion and outfit videos and posts on here as well as a huge brand collaboration coming up that I can’t wait to share with you guys!

So that’s it for this little update on all of the things that I’ve been doing here in Paris and all of the projects that I’ve been working on. You can expect a lot coming your way soon.

That’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post!

Hahaha thank you so much for supporting it! I only recently started to talk about it here on the blog but I figured it’s a big accomplishment to be able to sell products and to be more legit in the beauty world so why not promote the hell out of it? xD
I’m so glad that I could inspire you! Don’t worry about being in a slump because these phases come and go ❤ Self care is so important so make sure you're doing whatever makes you feel happy and refreshed!
