A Winter Coat How-To
There are very few things that look better than comfort feels. With last year’s oversized coat trend easing it’s way back into 2018 and temperatures dropping all over, thick and cozy sounds just like the perfect solution to all of our greatest outerwear dilemmas. But how do you rock this look while still managing to nail the polished aesthetic of the Parisienne? By stealing it from your man of course.
You may or may not have noticed if you’ve been a reader of LaDameWhoFellToEarth for a while now but on this blog, we have an outfit formula. When it comes to creating a look that strikes the perfect balance between refined, polished and edgy, contrast is key. For this look I went for a very fitted and elegant silhouette underneath the large coat by taking this tight little black dress from Romwe, and by adding a pair semi-transparent tights along with some heels to elongate my legs and emphasise the feminine shape of my body.
The coat on the other hand is entirely stolen from a guy’s closet. (Originally from Zara Man) Honestly I never want to give it back. Everything about the look is just so comfortable, so chic and the layering of black-on-black gives it the edgy vibe I always love to bring about in my outfits. Juxtaposed with the fitted outfit underneath, the entire look is the perfect combination of comfortable and stylish.
Do you guys ever steal clothes from your boyfriends? What do you think about mixing feminine and masculine fashion? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!
That’s all from me for now. Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

I love stealing clothes from my boyfriend! I don’t wear particularly “tight” clothes to begin with, but when I wear guys clothes I still feel like my body gets more room to breathe haha
