Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang
One of my first experiences of love at first sight was back in 2015 when Gucci launched their iconic Dionysus handbag as part of their fall/winter collection. Ever since, this bag has taken the fashion world by storm with influencers left and right wearing it all over Instagram as well as it having become a staple piece for so many of the fashionistas renowned for having the most coveted closets in the world.
Recently in Paris I found an online store called The Archiduchess that has a selection of bags not all too dissimilar to that of the Gucci Dionysus for a fraction of the price so today I thought I would share how I style it with you guys along with an outfit I have been loving for autumn here in the city of lights.
Funnily enough it was nowhere near as chilly in Paris as it is now the day I went out to shoot this outfit so that explains the short sleeves. I’m pretty sure that this cape that I thrifted, (originally from Zara) is supposed to be worn closed as a long asymmetrical tunic. However one of my favourite things to do when it comes to putting a look together is to break the rules by wearing clothes in an unconventional way which is exactly why I wore it open and paired it with a completely different outfit underneath.
Leather skirts have really been my thing lately and this one from TopShop is my current obsession. Here, giving a nod to the lingerie/underwear as outerwear look I paired it with this lacy velvet pyjama top from Etam which I just love for its deep purple hue and luxurious touch.
When it comes to investment pieces quality and timelessness is everything. There’s not a thing I don’t love about this bag, from it’s soft suede material that folds perfectly together like paper in an envelope to the incredibly ornate closure that’s intricate detail evokes images of Italian luxury and florentine decadence. I just feel so put-together whenever I add this to my ensemble and it’s definitely a piece I’ll cherish in my wardrobe for a long, long time.
If you guys are interested in grabbing yourself some designer dupes you can check out the Archiduchess website here. They have some truly beautiful things that honestly wouldn’t look out of place poised on the displays of some of the most deluxe department stores. Not only this but their bags are each made out of genuine leather and/or suede so you know that their pieces are good quality and durable enough to stand the test of time.
That’s all from me for now. What did you guys think of the outfit and the handbag?
I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below. As always thank you so much for reading and I can’t wait to see you again in my next blogpost.
