My Go-To Outfit In Paris Right Now
If you guys have seen my most recent post then you’d know that lately I have been completely and utterly enamoured by the adorable illustrations of Lorraine Sorlet, an independent illustrator here in Paris.
One of my top goals for 2018 when it came to our blog was to make more of an effort to support sustainable fashion brands as well as smaller artists, creators and designers. We live in a world where huge fashion franchises have a monopoly on what we wear and where we shop. This year I wanted to rebel against that. One of my all-time favourite places to do so when I go shopping is of course Family Store UK, a Brighton-based boutique which is just an awesome place to shop for pins, patches, printed matter and apparel created by less well known labels.
It was actually there that I discovered Lorraine Sorlet’s illustrations for the first time through a brand called Stay Home Club, with which she collaborated to help bring these awesome shirts to life. What makes this brand so great is the fact that not only is their clothing made in the USA, meaning no slave labour went into their production, their apparel, pins and patches are all super affordable and best of all, their overall look is just super aesthetic and perfect for putting together a look that is a little edgier and unconventional.
Despite some thunder storms here and there, the weather has been seriously heating up here in Paris so I’ve officially abandoned my layers for the season in exchange for outfits that are lighter, breathable and ultimately cool and comfortable. It’s at times like these that an oversized T-shirt is just such a trusty companion and tucked into a classic a-line skirt, this outfit makes for a silhouette that is both edgy and feminine.
I don’t know what it is about the combination of a black leather skirt with a basic graphic tee that looks so effortlessly chic but every time I rock this look I just feel so badass.
Paris is definitely a city that boasts a simplistic style, particularly in the summer months so understated outfits and neutral colour schemes are perfect for capturing the quintessential style de la parisienne. If you want to seem chic in this city, all you really need to survive is the bare essential staple pieces and a white graphic tee is no doubt one of them.
And that’s it for this outfit of the day. Tell me, do you guys think you’d wear something like this if you were walking around the streets of Paris right now? I’d love to know your answers in the comments below.
That’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

Love your outfit girl!! That skirt is just so cool ❤ The tee is so unique, which I am a huge fan of as I am also always on the hunt for unique gems. Is there a shop in Paris or is it only for sale online? I'm at least once a year in Paris so I could totally check it out xx
