An Art Exhibition by One Of My Favourite Illustrators
When I first came across Lorraine Sorlet’s adorable illustrations it was following her collaboration with one of my favourite ethical and aesthetic clothing brands, Stay Home Club. As soon as I first set eyes on her illustrations and the various ways in which she depicts sentiment, love, loss and heartbreak I couldn’t wait to get familiar with more of her colourful prints.
This week I came across an exhibition of her artworks in Club Sensible, a new generation art gallery situated in the heart of Bastille that combines all the best qualities of both a cabinet of curiosity and an art shop. Bastille is also a place in Paris that inspires for its quirky bars, alternative fashion sense and artistic vibe coming from each of its little boutiques so seeing Lorraine Sorlet’s illustrations in such a place only seems fitting. What I love about her artwork is the way in which it awakes sentiments in the spectator and so many of her drawings convey such a wide range of emotional states. It’s hard not to have a soft spot for them.
If you guys are in Paris between now and the 9th of June then I would definitely recommend checking out her illustrations, if not you can follow Lorraine on Instagram here or you can always check out her fashion collabs with Stay Home Club from their website here or from Family Store UK here for European shipping.

So that’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and let me know what you think of her illustrations and the outfits in the comments below.
