My Ultimate Korean Skincare Regime

For Younger, Plumper, Healthier Skin

As the largest organ in the body and the window to all that is happening to our health on the inside, it’s no wonder why beauty has always been so strongly linked to healthy skin.

When I first entered the world of Korean beauty, it was really a breath of fresh air for my skin. These beauty brands really spoil us for choice and there’s so many high tech treatments and masks available that you just don’t see in the Western World.

While it did take me some time to get used to Korean beauty products and the way each product should be used in your regime, I feel like I have finally unlocked the perfect skincare routine to counter the effects of my busy life here in Paris. Here are some of my favourite products that I’ve used to date.

Note: I know a lot of bloggers who take their Korean skincare very seriously follow a ten step guide. For me I feel like I’ve found something that works without having to splurge on too many products. But if you want to follow a more intense regime feel free! This is just what works for me and who knows maybe it’ll work for you too or you’ll at least find a product you like.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Soap

It’s no secret that I love everything in the Too Cool For School Egg skincare line and I will never stop raving about this cleanser. Honestly I’m still shook at just how effectively it has transformed my skin. It’s so gentle and soothing that you barely even notice how effective it is at removing even the densest of layers of makeup. Especially having skin that is so sensitive, this cleansing wash works wonders for me. It removes dirt, oil and any left over makeup just so gently, yet it never fails to leave my skin looking and feeling so well balanced afterwards.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Toner

To make sure that my face is as clean as can be and that there’s no leftover residue from my makeup I always use a toner just after cleansing. This one by Etude House not only wipes away residual dirt that may clog pores and lead to acne, it also leaves long lasting moisture, which absorbs quickly and penetrates deep into the skin. A product that is light weight, easy to absorb, non sticky, and smooth finishing is always a big plus for my dehydrated skin. I love a toner that can clean away dirt/dead skin cells but also provide  hydration at the same time and this toner does exactly that.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion

As a daily moisturizer, I just love this product because it’s so light and non greasy, so it’s a dream to use under your makeup in the morning.  Etude House claims that its moistful collagen range is ideal for nourishing the skin and preventing premature aging, so their products are loaded with some pretty powerful ingredients. The Emulsion for example owes its effectiveness to the fact that its key component is boabab oil which is packed with omega fatty acids and vitamins and in the beauty industry, it’s becoming an increasingly popular facial oil for that  very reason.  The fruit extract is considered a superfruit, and is high in vitamin C, with some pretty great anti-inflammatory properties which is perfect for me as I suffer a lot from redness.

Etude House Sunprise Must Daily SPF 50+

We all know that a decent SPF is the ultimate shield against sun damage and premature aging to the skin. This one by Etude House has been my handy companion ever since I bought it over the summer. What I love about it is how matte and non-oily it is, so you never have to worry about it making your skin look greasy as you apply it throughout the day. Now that I live in France where the sun is typically a lot stronger than in Ireland, I find my skin really suffers when I skip out on applying SPF. So this step is essential in my daily routine.

Too Cool For School All-In-One Egg Mellow Cream

If there is one product to take from this post, I would definitely recommend the All-In-One Egg Mellow Cream by Too Cool For School. Not only does this cream pack a serious punch at surging your skin with moisture, it also serves as five different creams in one. (Serum, Priming Moisturizer, Eye Cream, Neck Cream and a Sleeping Mask).

If you’re the type of person that doesn’t have much time for layering then this is definitely the perfect product for you. In my case my skin is particularly dry so it works wonders at repairing and replenishing lost moisture.

This moisturizer is a good deal heavier than the Etude House one I use during the day, which makes it ideal for applying at night. Made with nourishing egg yolk and egg white extracts, along with brightening niacinamide and firming collagen fiber, that together, promises to make skin look more luminous and feel smoother. I haven’t been using this cream for very long but I already see that my skin looks much more hydrated and bouncy from applying it.

Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack

This is the face mask that comes from the egg range by Too Cool For School. I already talked about it in a previous post but what I love about this mask is how quickly it takes effect. In as little as five minutes you can already feel it seeping into the pores and working its magic.

Made from egg white and egg yolk, this mask feels really soft, gentle and like a meringue on the skin. I forgot to mention that the reason these egg products are so effective is because egg white extract is amazing for brightening and purifying the skin while the yolk quenches your skins thirst leaving it silky smooth. On a day when my skin is looking particularly dull or I’m feeling tired, I love using this to give my face that little bit of extra radiance it needs.

Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask

Another egg infused mask ,except this one is from another Korean beauty brand that I am a major fan of called SkinFood. This mask is also made from egg white, and it’s main difference from the Too Cool For School one is that its consistency is much more of a thick clay as opposed to a light foam. Whenever I am in need of a relaxing mask that feels just as tightening as it does relaxing on my skin, I always find myself reaching for this one. Although it takes a while for it to have a visible affect, after a couple of months of using it my skin looks and feels so much younger and softer.

Tony Moly Appletox Mask

Whenever I feel like I’m in need of some rejuvenation this mask is my go-to. It is probably the most gentle exfoliator I have ever used as it doesn’t work with microbeads or anything that scrapes and scratches the skin. Instead it gently massages away dead skin cells while providing moisture. Honestly I find this exfoliating mask to be a great alternative to more common, more aggressive exfoliating products. Especially if your skin is like mine and tends to react quite strongly to harsh scrubbing. When you apply this mask, the dead skin very slowly flakes away as you rub it into your face. Not going to lie when I say that it’s super satisfying! And the packaging for this mask is adorable too.

And that’s it for this Korean beauty post! I really hope you guys enjoyed it. Almost all of the products listed are available from Sephora if not Yesstyle.

If you guys have any questions be sure to leave a comment below! I hope you all have a lovely week and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

You definitely should! It helps keep my skin pale which is a mega plus and the fact that it’s so matte is perfect too ❤️🌷 I think you’ll really love it 😘
