Ch-Ch-Changes
Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well and that the week is off to a good start for you so far. Today I thought I’d update you a little on what’s been going on in my life and with our blog.

The first thing you might notice is that our name has changed! The artist formerly known as Mew is no more and the image of our blog has been renamed as La Dame Who Fell to Earth and replaced with a sleek and shiny new design. For the longest time now I’ve been brainstorming new names and site layouts for our blog and finally I feel like I’ve found something that just suits my aesthetic so perfectly, at least for now anyway.
I always think change is good to keep your mind feeling healthy and refreshed, especially when it comes to your passions. With something like blogging where you have to be creative and push yourself to try new things, it’s easy to become stuck in a rut. But now that everything is looking so sleek I’m just so much more excited to work harder now than I ever was before. I feel like things just look so much neater here than they ever did and I can’t wait to keep you all updated on what I’ve been up to in Paris.
For those of you asking about the meaning behind our new name, La Dame Who Fell to Earth, the truth is that it is actually a reference to David Bowie, who is probably my favourite artist of all time and one of my greatest sources of inspiration when it comes to expressing myself through my sense of fashion and style. Whenever I was thinking of a name over the past few months I knew I wanted to choose something that would both inspire me to work harder and that would also make me feel comfortable in the fact that I was being true to myself as I share the different passions I have in life with the world. Having always been quite inspired by Bowie, taking a spin on the title of his film title The Man Who Fell to Earth and twisting it into something a little more personal to me just felt so perfect.
Now that I feel a little more at home on my blog I can’t wait to see the new heights we can take it to. Making more content is just going to be amazing and I really hope you guys will all be with my on the ride!
And as far as updates go, the change to our site is probably the biggest one. Aside from that, here I am back in Paris until Christmas time when I’ll return to Ireland for yet another short stay in Dublin. Right now the bitterly cold weather is already beginning to sweep over Paris and that infamous chill by the Seine is becoming stronger and stronger with each day that passes. But of course the onset of cold weather always calls for an abundance of hot chocolates and the opportunity to window shop right next to some of the most beautiful Christmas displays in the world.
Over the weekend myself and my cousin visited Place Vendôme, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps where the decorations were rumoured to be some of the most opulent in the city. Honestly these window displays are like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The ambient lighting and creativity in the decor is just out of this world and they even animated some of the figures and figurines to add more life to the displays. How impressive is that?
Honestly every time I have a day like this I just feel so lucky to be living where I am. Paris may be cold at this time of year and it may rain quite a lot, but there can be no doubt that there is so much beauty to be found in the city especially when you get the chance to just relax and wander around a little.

And that’s it from me for this post. It was quite personal I know but I have so much content planned in the way of beauty, fashion and travel for you guys now that our site is looking so lovely and new. I can’t wait to catch up with you guys later in the week and thank you so much for supporting me and the content I make here. I can’t stress enough how cool it is to hear from you in the comments.
Anyway I hope you all have a wonderful week and I’ll see you very soon.

Thank you so much girly! ❤ Next will be the Champs Elysées i think, though I'm actually not sure if the markets are there this year or not! Let me know when you're back in Paris and we can go to Galeries Lafayette together after another gateau from aki! (Btw I was in the actual resto this weekend and it was AMAZING) xx

Apparently it will be held at the Grand Palais, or so I’ve been told but I’m not sure how accurate that is :/. Totally keen to go and have another delicious cake with you 😀 ❤
I know right, the restaurant is as amazing as the boulangerie !
