A Day in Monte-Carlo
Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well so far. Today I’m back on the blog with a little travel post for you guys. If you read my previous post then you’d know I spent last weekend exploring some cities in the South of France. Monaco has always been high up on my bucket list of places to travel. I have always known so many of my friends and members of my family to have gone there, but I’ve never actually been myself until now. Today I thought I’d share some photos I snapped with you and tell you a little about the city.
The first thing we did was visit all of the heights of Monte-Carlo. Much like Marseille, there are many different layers of quite mountainous land around the area where the water is. The higher you climb towards the castle, the more beautiful the view becomes. There are so many steep hills and heights to descend but the view is so beautiful that it makes it all worth it.
Next we went to the beach and spent some time hanging out there, but of course because of the fact that it’s winter we could only do so much. But it still is really relaxing just looking out at the water. There were quite a few people swimming at the time but this was really too daring for me!
My favourite thing about Monte-Carlo definitely has to be the streets and all the cute little buildings that decorate the pavements. The architecture is so unique and pretty.
And finally we stopped in Nice on our way back to Paris just to check it out! We only had about an hour before we had to catch our train but the city was truly beautiful, especially at night when it’s all lit up with Christmas lights.
And that’s it for this post. Thank you guys so much for reading and thank you @kaelanmccone for helping me out with the photographs!
Have you guys ever been to Monte-Carlo? What have you been up to this week? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!
Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon.
