What would Summer be without denim?
Over the past week or so in Ireland, the weather has just been so sunny and nice, so in light of that I thought I would put together a quick denim lookbook to embrace the warmer days.
Look One -The Pinafore Dress
One denim look that I have been loving lately has got to be the pinafore dress. If you’ve seen my latest April favourites, then you’d know that I have been really loving this adorable jumper dress from Yesstyle. Especially when worn my Lazy Oaf top, I think it gives a really sweet and summery look. The way this dress is tiered just looks so cute and you can layer some really cool things with this outfit to give a unique and interesting vibe to your look.
Look Two- Embroidery
Cardigan ~Vintage
Bag ~Skinnydip London
Throwing a splash of colour into your look with a fun embroidery pattern can be a great way of adding a little bit of a extra jazz to an outfit. You don’t have to go for anything too crazy to pull this look off, small and simple patterns are dainty and flattering. I love how pixilated the embroidery is on these Topshop jeans. The pattern reminds me so much of an old video game.. Plus they’re super comfy and easy to move around in. When it comes to jeans, I love layering them with some length on top, so this button-up midi dress paired with this vintage duster were a must for a care-free and billowy look.
Look Three – The Darker Side of Things
It’s amazing just how good distressed denim looks with black. For this look, opting for something a little more gothic was the obvious choice. The sheer mesh body blends perfectly with the jagged hem of this denim skirt. To complete this look, simply add an oversized band tee to express your awesome music taste to the world and you’re good to go. (Even better if the band tee is a little distressed too)
So these are my favourite ways to style denim at the moment. As usual, links to everything are embedded in the text up above. Don’t forget to let me know in the comments what you think and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.
