Beauty, Fashion, Anime and K-Dramas
Hey! It’s Mew!
Welcome back to another monthly favourites post here on our blog. March felt like a long month but it brought with it an array of cool and exciting new things that I just can’t wait to share with you. As always there are three categories; beauty, fashion and entertainment. Are you ready? Let’s start!
Beginning with beauty, one thing that I have really been loving this month is the’ Life’s Little Correctors’ concealer palette by Benefit. For everything you get in this kit, (Erase paste, two tubs of lemon aid, two shades of bo-oing and eyebright) the palette is super reasonably priced. It really does contain all of the most important essentials for masking imperfections.
Erase Paste is especially effective when it comes to covering up the most prominent of blemishes because the consistency is really thick and creamy while the Lemon-aid and Eye Bright work really well together work really well together when it comes to disguising your tired eyes and brightening your dark circles. Overall this palette has everything I could possibly need and the best part about it is that the individual tubs of concealer can be removed from the box to fit into your handbag. Makeup = sorted!
The next product I have been using all throughout the month is the Lush BB Seaweed face mask, and I have to say that so far I’m really impressed with it. This mask is amazing for sensitive skin. It soothes, moisturises and refreshes while all at the same time removing dirt and excess oils from the skin’s surface. It’s also a great mask for minimising redness as it left my skin feeling cool, clean and hydrated without causing any irritation at all.
In the way of fashion, March had me obsessing over my River Island jeans. So much so that I already bought two more pairs of them! I don’t know what it is exactly about the jeans in this store but the quality is just amazing. They are just so well-fitted, flattering and comfortable yet stretchy enough to move freely (and eat a mountain of pasta) in. In general, River Island jeans are just so comfy and stylish, I can’t wait to go shopping again to see what other styles they might have.
If you’ve been following my lookbooks over the past month, you’d notice that I have been carrying this mini backpack with me almost everywhere I go. It’s neat, colourful and stylish and above all, it’s so handy for fitting all your essentials to tackle the day. I love it.
Now onto entertainment, which as I am sure you all know by now is my absolute favourite part of doing these posts. During the month I have really been enjoying a lot of K-Dramas, the first of which is one on Netflix called Age of Youth/Hello My Twenties!
The plot follows the individual lives of five girls all living together under the same roof. Out of each of the five girls there is definitely a story or a person you can identify with because even though all of the characters live together, each one of their lives is a world away from the other.
What makes it so amazing is the fact that even though the beginning of the series is very cheery and upbeat, the show becomes darker and darker the more the characters develop. It’s definitely a drama you’re going enjoy if you’re looking for something serious to watch.
The next drama is something much more light-hearted and funny. Also on Netflix, Click Your Heart is full of cheesy high-school romances, cute Korean boys and dramatic love affairs. Each episode is only fifteen minutes long, but so much drama happens with every decision the main character makes. This show is so sweet, charming and utterly hilarious. Get a bunch of your friends over for a sleepover and you have the perfect show for a romantic marathon.
This month I decided to revisit one of my all-time favourite anime, Eden of the East. (Higashi no Eden) I love this anime so much not only because of the appealing art style and animation but also because the sheer levels of chemistry between the two main characters always leaves you hungry for more. The best thing about it however has got to be the strong elements of mystery in each episode. Every single episode ends on such a dramatic note, and always with an intense cliff-hanger making it the perfect show to binge-watch.
The final favourite thing I have been loving this month is a singer called Stella Jang, who in my opinion makes the perfect rainy day music to cuddle up under a blanket to. Her songs are just so relaxing and so catchy. I’ll leave a link to my favourites down below.

So these were all of my favourite things this month. What were yours? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below.
So that’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.
