Beauty with Roses

Some Lovely Rose-based Products for Beautiful Skin

Hey! It’s Mew.

February is here and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so in light of this romantic month I thought that I’d share with you some of my favourite beauty products from one of the most romantic flowers there is… roses!

Are you ready? Let’s start!

Rose Water

Rose water is a natural cleanser and toner that can be used to remover makeup, purify and balance skin tone. This magic potion literally has so many benefits, for example rosewater is so rich in antioxidants which help strengthen skin tissues and slow down the ageing process. It also has anti-inflammatory properties meaning that it works great at warding off acne, scarring and redness.

My favourite thing about it however has got to be the scent! Every time I use this, my skin and neck are always left smelling so sweet, like actual rose petals or a big bouquet of flowers. Using this daily and nightly will definitely make your skin feel revitalised and hydrated. A bottle of rosewater is super inexpensive too. I picked this one up in my local boots for less than €3. (it doesn’t seem to be on their website though, but they have other ones similar here.

Lush Rosy Cheeks

I am constantly raving about this mask here in our blog but only because it has helped transform my rough and ruddy cheeks into soft, even and smooth skin. In the battle against redness this adorable little mask is definitely your go-to saviour. It contains calamine lotion which is ultra powerful when it comes to cooling and soothing irritated blotchy skin. After washing this off my skin always feels so moisturised and looks so porcelain. It’s a miracle worker.

Diptyque Eau Rose

My favourite fragrance of all time and my go-to scent for daywear. It’s so fresh, breezy, youthful and sweet and most importantly, the aroma is very natural. For me, this is the perfect date fragrance. It’s just so romantic and blossomy.

Yardley London English Rose Eau de Toilette

I have to be honest when I say that Diptyque is an expensive brand, so I found another fragrance quite similar to it by Yardley London. Also a rose perfume with a romantic time, this eau de toilette has a much sharper scent to it but overall is a very sweet scent. This perfume is a really pleasant one and also a really inexpensive one. I managed to grab it for only €15 ❤

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

If you got the chance to read my 2016 Beauty Favourites then you’d know that Trilogy Rosehip Oil is a serious miracle worker for your skin. I wrote a lot about it already in previous blogposts, but basically it’s an essential oil rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 and a natural beauty oil with powerful anti-ageing and nourishing properties. It’s also great for dry skin and for fighting acne scars and stretch marks. All natural, organic and chemical-free!

Lush Rose Jam Macaron

It’s no secret that I have a long standing love affair with macarons, so when it comes to pampering myself with a bubbly, rosy pink macaron, I couldn’t be happier! I love how pink  this makes the bathwater turn and the rosy aroma is just divine! Bathing in this really helps to soften the skin and the rose oil and shea butter leave a bright and cheery glow on your skin. It’s perfect to use the night before a Valentine’s date. ^_^

So these are all of my favourite rose-themed beauty products at the moment. I just love how each of these has such a romantic vibe, making them perfect for the run up to a special date or day of treating yourself.

As usual, links for everything are embedded in the pink text above.

Do you have any beauty products you’ve been loving at the moment? I’d love to hear all about them in the comments below!

That’s all from me for now. Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

~Love Mew xx
