Taking a Look at Some of my Favourite Beauty Products Over the Past Year.

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of these yearly favourites posts floating around, so today I decided that I’d hop on the bandwagon and show you some of my beauty favourites from last year.

During 2016 I managed to find a lot of amazing new beauty products that have been so impressive they have become such an integral part of my daily beauty routine. To tell you the truth, a lot of these things have worked so well for me that I honestly can’t see myself changing up my regime any time soon. Are you ready to see the products that made the cut? Let’s start!

Lush Retread Conditioner

I thought I’d start out with haircare because over the course of  the past year I managed to transform my dry and ratty, broken hair into something much more long, healthy and shiny. And I owe a lot of that to the products I have been using to take care of and improve the condition of my hair.

This is my favourite conditioner of all time. It’s super powerful when it comes to restoring the natural oils to your hair because it contains natural yoghurt and extra virgin olive oil, both of which are two of the most nourishing and moisturising ingredients you can use to restore life to dull hair.

Every time I use this my hair always looks so much thicker and shinier. If you have brittle lengths prone to breakage then I would definitely recommend this. So far it has been my absolute saviour and I love how soft it leaves my hair feeling after a shower.

Lush Cinnamon Shampoo Bar

I’ve been completely and utterly enamoured by this shampoo since the first time I tried it a couple of months ago. The aromatic infusion of cinnamon, cloves and peppermint stimulates blood flow to your scalp which in turn promotes the natural  growth of your hair. I guess you could say that it causes your roots to wake up and get to work!

This mighty little bar of hair growth is also rich in essential oils which of course nourish and add lustre to your locks.

I’ve been using this for a good few months now and I have to say that I’ve noticed a huge difference in the length of my hair. This is something I’m super happy with because I’ve wanted longer hair for the longest time now! If you’re looking for a good shampoo for growing your hair out then this is definitely the one for you.

Lee Stafford Leave in Hair Growth Treatment

This is a leave-in conditioner especially formulated for hair that doesn’t grow past a certain length.

For me, this really helped seal split ends and strengthen the ends of my hair that always felt fine and brittle. To date this has played a really strong role for me in the process of growing my hair out. I honestly think that to maintain long hair, a good leave-in conditioner is vital and this one has just been amazing so far.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Mask

Not gonna lie, I don’t always love using hair masks because they can be messy and a lot of effort but this one has been so simple and easy to use while all at the same time having an almost miraculous affect on my mane.

You’re supposed to leave it in for five minutes after you use your conditioner, however I also like to apply it about 30 minutes before I shower so that my hair can seriously soak it in.

Seriously this works wonders for repairing dry hair and it even smells divine! My hair always feels so smooth after I wash it out and over time I’ve noticed the condition of my hair drastically improve too.

OGX Extra-Penetrating Argan Oil

I know I am always raving about this oil here on our blog but come on, it’s such a miracle worker, how could I not? Argan oil seriously is like magic in a bottle. It obliterates split ends and restores your hair’s natural glossy surface that may have faded over time due to heat and dye damage. If there’s one product that I can dub as my holy grail of haircare then this is definitely it.

Egyptian Magic

Now onto skincare and my favourite skin cream of all time –Egyptian Magic.

I dedicated an entire blogpost the first time I tried this, I was that impressed.

Egyptian Magic is an all purpose skin cream, meaning that it can be used to treat virtually any imperfections and afflictions from dryness to eczema, to oiliness and acne and even psoriasis and discolouration. It can even be used as a powerful shield to protect against fine lines and wrinkles. The list goes on.

The six natural ingredients, (olive oil, honey, beeswax, bee pollen, royal jelly and propolis extract) all have natural healing properties as well as powerful anti-aging properties. Apply this as a mask overnight and you’re guaranteed to always wake up to soft, porcelain and radiant skin.

A single tub of this has lasted me almost the whole year, even in spite of the fact that I use it every night. If you have skin that’s in need of some emergency nourishment or just some tender loving care then I’d 100% recommend Egyptian Magic. It’s all natural and can literally solve anything.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil works in a really similar way to Egyptian Magic except it’s a lot more suited to ageing skin, fragile skin and skin prone to stretch marks and scarring.

I found this to be particularly effective for treating extreme dryness and unevenness of skin tone. Using this on a day where my face is particularly dry is just such a dream because it’s so unbelievably hydrating. It’s like giving your skin a nourishing and invigorating drink. This also helps a lot in the process of fading acne scars and preventing signs of ageing because it’s a rich source of your essential Omega fatty acids. I love this Rosehip oil because it’s so completely natural and organic and extremely healthy for your skin.

Soap And Glory Supercat Eyeliner

I mentioned this in a previous post but this is by far the quickest and simplest eyeliner I have used this year. It just glides on so effortlessly and so evenly and creating a strong wing is just a dream with this.

It’s one weakness though would probably be that it’s not quite black enough for my usual liking. But that’s not a huge problem because I just trace over it with my Benefit They’re Real Eyeliner Pen and it works a charm.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Words simply cannot express the sheer levels of love I have for the  colours in this palette. I love how unusual the colours in this palette are and how fierce they make me feel. You can create a really natural and innocent look with the cream and yellow shades or go for something edgier with the neon peach and rusty shades.

I especially love wearing my Soap and Glory ‘You Say Tomato Lipstick‘ to really complete the peachy look.

So these were all of the beauty products I have been loving and using on a daily basis throughout the year. Have you used any of these? What were your favourite beauty products of 2016? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!

So that’s all from me for now. Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.
