A List Of Christmas Present Ideas for the People You Care About the Most

Hey! It’s Mew. ^_^

December is finally upon us and Christmas is just around the corner. By now you’re probably all thinking about beginning your hunt for the perfect gifts for your friends and family. So for today’s blogpost I thought I would put together a list of some Christmas gift ideas that I’m sure you and of course, the people you are shopping for will really love.

Are you ready? Let’s start!

Instax Camera

The first gift on the list is an instax camera. Christmas is all about friends, family and the people you make your favourite memories with. And that’s exactly why giving somebody a polaroid camera is just such a lovely idea. You get to print moments as they happen and keep a physical copy of that forever. It’s a nice way of preserving your Christmas memories I think.

Rilakkuma Plush

The holidays are all about snuggling up and feeling cosy and warm. And a Rilakkuma plushie is the perfect companion in doing just that. These cute little bears are much more than just adorable soft furnishings for your room. They’re also the softest, happiest things you’ll ever cuddle in your lifetime, so giving one to a friend ensures they’re going to have the perfect time on Christmas day. Even better if they have their favourite movie to go along with it!

Cute Christmas Decoration

Christmas baubles can be such special gifts in my opinion. What makes them so sweet is the fact that you can give them to your mom or to your family or to your best friends and each year when they hang it on their tree they can think of you and the Christmases you’ve spent together. It’s just a sweet idea I think.

My favourite decorations at the moment are the ones by Sonny Angel x Ladurée, which I picked up in their Dublin patisserie this week. You know me when it comes to cute Japanese plushies and figurines and especially when it comes to macarons! They are my one weakness and and these cute little baby dolls are dressed up like different coloured Ladurée macarons. What an adorable addition to any tree!

Speaking of Ladurée… Christmas is all about treating yourself, especially when it comes to food! A macaron box and a box of Ladurée signature tea is a great way of adding some luxury to the menu this year. Whether you’ll be watching movies and indulging in fanciful pastries with a side of hot tea, or you just want to surprise someone with a decadent or romantic gift. Ladurée is always the way to go. ^_^

Part of feeling cosy this Christmas season is staying inside and hibernating with a a good book. I always believe that gifting your favourite book to a friend makes your Christmas present a little more special and a little more personal. It’s like sharing a piece of yourself and something that you really love with someone you really care about. Even better if they swap their favourite book with you too!

A novel I highly recommend is We Have Always Lived in The Castle by Shirley Jackson. Not only is this my favourite book in the world, (I’m sure that you will love it too) it’s also very much about a fear of the outside world and a love for your home, which is pretty much what Christmas is, (at least in my mind anyway.)

Scented Candles

During the winter months especially, candles are such wonderful gifts. They create such relaxing, festive aromas that everyone can enjoy, and they’re great for adding a touch of warmth to any home. We spend so much time indoors this time of year, so the extra comfort that a candle brings is always an essential.

The one I’ve been loving lately is the Candy Cane Lane by Yankee Candle. As you can probably guess, it has a really sweet and sugary peppermint aroma. (like a candy cane) But it also evokes the warming scents of icing sugar on gingerbread houses and of festive cupcakes. I think it would make anyone happy at Christmas time. ^_^

Lush Gift Set

If you want to pamper a friend, a gift set from Lush is perfect for you. My favourite so far is the Home For Christmas gift box. Between the delicious Rose Jam shower gel, Serendipity Lavender Soap and soothing Sleepy body lotion, this adorable little gift box is an amazing present for the friend who wants to experience all the comforts of home during the holidays. With a stormy winter night and an open fire to curl up to, I imagine that pampering yourself with this would be even more perfect!

A special fragrance will always make for the perfect Christmas gift, especially if you’re somebody who sees Christmas as one of the most romantic times of the year like I do.

The scent that I have been loving the most at the moment is the Eau Rose by Diptyque. To me, this fragrance is just so delicate, sweet and enchanting. It perfectly emulates the scent of a bouquet of roses. And I love how fresh it feels on my skin.

DIY Beauty Set

If you’re looking to add a more personal touch to your Christmas beauty gifts, you can always make your own. All you need to do is pick up a gift box and fill it with the things you think your friend might like.

I picked this box up from Tiger for €2 and I just love how pretty it makes everything inside look. Plus the advantage you have is that you can mix and match beauty products, makeup, jewellery and other little stocking fillers all at the same time. It’s a really personalised and thoughtful gift that way and one sure to win the heart of anyone.

So these were all the gifts I came up with. I really hope you liked them or that they inspired you a little bit. ^_^

Don’t forget to leave a like and a comment if you enjoyed. I always love to hear back from you ❤

Thank you so much for reading! ❤ And I'm so happy you agree! Instax cameras are lovely ^_^ Ohh don't worry about the Yankee Candle. I'm really not one for artificial scents either but the particular one I got actually smells really natural for Christmas time. It even was the same when I burned it. If anything the scent floats really gently once its lit ^_^ Hope this helps haha ❤
