It’s been a while since I last did an outfit of the day post on this blog, so let’s change that!
My Outfit: Dress ~Topshop / Scarf ~Vintage
I don’t know about where you live, but in Ireland the winter months can bring about a lot of long nights and a lot of darkness and most of the time it feels like weeks could go by without their being barely any daylight at all. That’s why during these months, I love to be clad in as much shimmer and sparkle as possible, just to stay cheery when the days are darker.
Last week when I was in Topshop, I fell utterly in love with this twinkling wrap dress. The design is just so interesting to me because it fastens around you just like a bath robe and the material is light enough that it hugs your figure in just the right way.
Here’s how I styled it.
I really loved how this velvet bag from asos complimented the outfit. The colour is a complete contrast to the dress, but I think they work together nicely and create a rich and interesting palette.
Because the dress is already so out there and I’m wearing black tights, I wanted to blend everything together nicely so I added this pair of black patent boots. I really like how the glass heel accentuates the futuristic appeal of the metallics in the dress. Plus, it adds to the quirky and exciting vibe of the outfit too. (Sorry that they got a little covered in leaves on my walk today ^_^”)
What’s so great about the wrap dress is that you don’t even have to wear it as a dress if you don’t want to.
Here, I’m wearing it as a cardigan over an otherwise plain-ish outfit. I think it adds something cute yet edgy and alternative when worn over a separate outfit.

So this was my outfit today. I really hope you liked it and that it will at least give you some inspiration for the fall/winter season.
