A change of season calls for some new things.
You all know by now how much I love sharing my shopping adventures with you, so here are some of the things I got to help brave the cold autumn-winter seasons. Let’s start!
TIGER
The first place I stopped off was Tiger to pick up some stationery and art supplies. For me this is one of my favourite places to shop because everything inside is just so colourful and fun. They always seem to have lots of little cute and handy things and it’s incredibly cheap too.
I picked up a lot of paint and glitter glue for some up-coming DIYs I have planned for you soon, as well as some other little things I thought would be cute to have as homeware.
I think though that the best thing out of all that I brought home with me were these adorable little notebooks that have funny art works and drawings on their covers. Lately I’ve been looking everywhere for some nice notebooks and now I’m so glad that I finally have these. The statements on them are so antisocial, but hilarious at the same time. Being shy, I think that’s why I love them so much.
The last thing I saw in Tiger that I really fell in love with were these adorable little tea lights shaped like toadstools. Just look at how cute they are! I’m really into anything that reminds me of the autumn season, especially when homeware things like this are involved. So of course I just had to take these home with me. They make such pretty decorations and look even more incredible when they’re lit up. ❤
Penneys
I think we’ve all been a little obsessed with everything from Penney’s autumn/winter range this year. This month I saw a lot of things I really liked.
The first thing I got was this wonderfully cosy, blushing pink sweater. There was such a wide variety of jumpers and knits like this, it was so hard for me to pick just one. But I really can’t stop wearing this one everywhere I go. The fabric is really soft and it feels like it’s really high quality. Plus the colour is so sweet. I love how these light pink shades are everywhere this season because it’s just so innocent and youthful looking.
Gilets are amazing because they complete an outfit so well. I really loved this faux suede one, not only for its soft, rosy colour again but also because of the multitude of textures that run through it. It has a woolly exterior along the very back, a fluffy lining on the inside to keep you nice and toasty, as well as a lovely suede texture on the front.
All the different materials on this really add to the quality of the vest and make it look much more expensive than it actually is, which is a nice bonus considering the fact that it’s from Primark. I like to wear this over something long-sleeved or with a skinny sweater. It feels super luxurious and adds that little something extra to an otherwise plain outfit.
I also bought some adorable pyjamas, a cotton pair and a fleece pair, for snuggling up on cold nights. They feel so cuddly, warm and lovely. ❤
Asos
If you followed me on my trip to Ladurée then you probably would have guessed by now that I’m a little obsessed with macarons. These shoes were just so quirky and perfect, I just couldn’t leave them behind. The heel looks like a tower of macarons stacked on top of each other, and that stood out to me as being so creative and unusual. While these shoes may look purely ornamental, they’re actually really bouncy and comfortable to walk around in. Though, I’m almost tempted to get a second pair, just to display decoratively somewhere in my house. That’s how pretty they really are. ❤ You can find them on Asos (from a brand called Daisy Street) here.
Since the day this velvet bag arrived at my door, I’ve been wearing it literally everywhere I go. The contrast between the deep purple of the bag and shades of gold on the chain are just so warm and autumnal -and who doesn’t love to embrace the colours autumn brings about with it? Plus, velvet is such a rich fabric. It adds so much class to any outfit and always feels amazing to touch. I don’t usually see velvet handbags around, so you can imagine my delight when I found this one on the asos site. I’m sure all fellow velvet enthusiasts would agree! Available here.
So these were all of the things I got lately that I thought you might enjoy. What are some of your favourite purchases lately? I’d love to know in the comments below.
I will see you very soon in my next post.
