Drugstore Makeup Haul

Basically a Boots Haul

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing well and that you’re having a lovely September so far.

When I was back in Ireland during the holidays last month it was pretty much a rite of passage for me to go to Boots and to see what they had. Since it doesn’t exist in France and we don’t always find the same products here, I always have so much fun browsing the rails for makeup and beauty bargains so today I’m super exited to share what I got with you!

Let’s begin!

A New Year in Paris

A Short Update

MY OUTFIT: JEANS RIVER ISLAND(SIMILAR)/ TOP ETAM/ BAG LOUIS VUITTON

Here I am back in Paris and back to my daily routine of taking the metro, climbing a million steps as I run up and down the streets of Montmartre and drinking my weight in coffee just to stay awake as I strike the balance between running my blog, working and studying all at the same time. For today’s post I wanted to talk about some goals I have laid out for the content I want to put out this year!

Photoshoot in The Guinness Storehouse

An Icon to Dublin

Guinness waterfall.png

The Guinness Storehouse is no doubt at the epicentre of Dublin’s must-see cultural and historical landmarks. Any Irish person can tell you all about how the beer has made a name for us all over the world and it’s not just an old reliable on a night out in an Irish pub, it’s also probably the most globally renowned symbol of Ireland to ever hit the international market. Go to any big European city, any Irish bar in the United States or even in North Africa and Asia and you won’t struggle too hard to find a Guinness.

Having grown up in and around Dublin my entire life, I never really took the time to hop on the Luas and visit the factory where this world famous beer is made, besides what do you do when you’re from Ireland and you’re already well acquainted with everything there is to know about the iconic stout? Well…you take advantage of the photo opportunities of course.

Things I Miss The Most About Ireland

The Comforts of Home…

Irish girl.png

No matter where we may be in the world, the Irish always have been gifted at adapting to new cultures and new customs. We have a long history of immigration that is still ongoing today with housing crises in all our major cities, lack of public transport pretty much all over the country and lets not forget the harsh climate that we all have to endure on our little island.

While I’ll never regret emigrating at such a young age, there is a huge amount of things about home that I miss a lot. For today’s post (and since I am still in Ireland) I thought I would share them with you! Let’s start.

Back To School Beauty

Beauty Kits to Start the Year

back to school beauty2.png

Going back to school and uni is always rough, especially when the time comes where we have to admit to ourselves that the summer is actually over and early mornings are about to become a daily thing again. As a person who hates the feeling of rotting away in classes I don’t care about, the end of the summer tends to bring about a lot of stress and existential dread for me. (Can any fellow arts students relate?)

On the other hand though, there is something nice about this time of year. The late summer always makes me feel pretty nostalgic for when I was still actually in school and then there’s the fact that the silver lining of the back to school season is that it’s a great excuse to treat yourself to some new things.

We all deserve to start the year out feeling¬† refreshed and renewed after the summer break. You don’t need to buy a whole new wardrobe. Sometimes something as simple as changing up your makeup can be invigorating enough to take on the new year.

For today’s post I put together some makeup recommendations for those September mornings where you’re rushing out the door in a panic but still want to slay your makeup.

The National Botanic Gardens of Ireland

After seeing Pewdiepie and Marzia’s wedding video this week, I have to admit that I’ve been feeling pretty inspired by botanical gardens lately, especially because they are so ethereal and photogenic, especially when you step into the greenhouses.

Kew Gardens are the royal botanic gardens in London and the place where Pewds and Marzia had their wedding but actually there is a similar garden located in Glasnevin, Dublin which is definitely worth a visit for the stunning glass houses and exotic plants.

For today’s post I thought I’d share some of the pictures that I snapped along my travels there!

On The Edge of the World

The Wild Atlantic Way of Donegal

donegal1

If there’s one thing to know before travelling to Ireland it’s that you haven’t seen any of it unless you’ve visited the Wild Atlantic Way. This week myself and Greg went to Sliabh Liag in Co. Donegal and although we were blown to bits by the wind and the rain, we still managed to snap some photos of the cliffs.
