Caring for my Highlighted Hair

mandycherie

Already the lockdown is taking its toll on our hair. All over tiktok there have been numerous trends of people giving themselves DIY haircuts and dye jobs. Sometimes at home salon treatments turn out beautifully, other times they can be a bit of a disaster but one thing that is always going to be completely fool proof is the moisturising treatments that help us to maintain our hair’s natural shine.

Beginning of Spring OOTD

It’s been a long time since I actually went outside in Paris to take some photos of the city I love. No matter where I go here, every photo turns out to look like the backdrop of a movie poster in the cinema and it feels amazing being able to appreciate that again.

Something I can never get enough of about the city is the thrift stores here. Two months ago we found this fluffy white coat in a vintage store and I’ve been smitten with it ever since. It’s so soft and so stylish. It makes me feel like both an ice princess and a girl in a hip hop music video at the same time and if that’s not a mood then I don’t know what is.

Paris syndrome hits hard when it comes to apartment hunting, especially when you realize just how competitive it is to find a decent place to live in the city. If you’re a foreigner here there are so many unnecessary hurdles to jump over and so many obstacles put in place that are borderline xenophobic. A Package Arrived From Soap and Glory….

IMG_9216

Whenever I’m in Ireland for the holidays one of the first things I always make a point of doing is pampering myself. The beginning of the new year is always a time where I want to relax and decompress as much as possible to prepare for what lies ahead and so I love spending long lengths of time in the bathroom lathering as many lotions and potions as humanely possible onto my skin. Just being able to go to bed smelling good and spending warm and cosy evenings curled up on the couch after a hot shower is one of my favourite things to do. Soap & Glory are an amazing brand for helping me achieve this zen because their products are just so softening and they smell amazing… oh and did I mention that adorable packaging?

Let’s see what’s inside the hamper!

Christmas Magic

VENDOME3

Christmas is almost here and I’ve never been more excited to leave Paris for the winter and head home to Ireland! This is just a short little post to show off some Christmas vibes as well as my new favourite coat that I nabbed on Asos. Unfortunately it is from a fast fashion brand but I make exceptions here and there when I find pieces I know I’ll wear for years to come. The best thing about it is that it has pockets and it’s so warm and snuggly for the winter.

Christmas Outfit Shoot in the Place Vendôme

The Place Vendôme is one of the most expensive areas in Paris. It’s a luxury fashion hub and people from all over the world come here to visit the haute couture fashion houses and to buy rare jewels from them. If ever you’re lucky enough to afford diamonds from the most exclusive luxury brands, this is the place to go to.

At Christmas every year the decorations here are always stunning and the glimmering lights on the trees always reflect the glittering gold jewellery and diamonds that you’ll find in the window displays.

Anyway here is my outfit…
